Hot weather meals can be imaginative, creative, light-yet-filling, easy and delicious. A friend experiencing the sweltering east coast heat just asked me this same thing last week...she wanted some ideas for delicious meals that don't heat up the kitchen too much, so I'm sharing here what I sent to her. She loves to cook so I know she'll be trying a number of these this summer.

Dawn, I know you asked for *favorites* but maybe some of these ideas will provide some inspiration for you. :o)
