and every last bite was gone. This is my third year as a "latke fry girl" and these were the best yet! There is a very good chance that I polished off an entire pound all by myself--you know, QCing the batches as they came out of the pans!! My friend and hostess also made 6 briskets, carrots and green beans. (We do a 6AM workout at her house and the briskets were in the crockpots smelling delicious--it was very hard to concentrate on the workout when all you want is a giant plate of brisket!)

I always look forward to this party because she has the kids read aloud the "Story of Hanukah" so that everyone has a little understanding of the ceremony. Then she chooses 4 kids to light a menorah each while we say the prayer in both languages. It is an honor to share in the culture and traditions of your dear friend! How lucky am I!
