I'm intrigued by Dawn_MO's kitchen tip ( about pouring boiling water over chopped basil already in cube trays.
Do you let it cool before sticking it in the freezer?

2nd Q: Has anyone just laid out the basil leaves in a very low over, then crumbled and ziplocked? My freezer space is quite limited.
