is the preferred way to eat them. My friend Maria is a cooking instructor from Portugal and said she never saw a savory application for avocados until she moved to the United States! I've made the avocado ice cream in David Leibovitz's book and an avocado mousse recipe I got from a Mexican chef. Both were terrific.

I also recently read that there are health properties in avocados that make you happy. I eat them weekly now. Usually with just salt and a spoon. :)
