I try to buy Made in the USA. Lodge is the default and has good products at reasonable prices.

A lot of the contemporary cast iron just aren't very good (several made in China). The interior surface is so rough that it does not hold seasoning well and they are harder to clean when the surface is so rough.

I found this other company that offers the smoother interior surface. Also newer company Made in the USA.
