I have tried two grill pans, and hated the mess of the fine grease splatter all over my stove

We grill outdoors under a covered patio on a gas fired (too big) grill that my husband bought. It has a hood above to suck up the smoke. I keep thinking how nice it would be to just do a quick grill inside myself, but the mess is too much. Even the non-stick grill pan I have still splatters the little fat that is on the meat, or even the juices from it. I have a Cuisinart Griddler which I love and make panini sandwiches, pancakes, etc. The grill plates are reversible, and there is no splatter from it.
